Teachers - French Immersion
This will be my third year teaching here at St Mary's in the French Immersion program!
I was born in Nova Scotia and due to a military father, travelled all around Canada when I was young and ended up in Alberta. I am francophone and learned English after moving to Alberta and being enrolled in an English school.
I did the majority of my elementary and high school up in Fort McMurray (so I find the southern winters very enjoyable!) and then moved down south to Lethbridge to attend university. I hold a Bachelor of Science (in biology, physics and math) and a Bachelor of Education (in science and language arts education) from the University of Lethbridge.
When I'm not at the school, I like to swim or play music in my spare time. I swam competively for 15 years until I completed university, and I have coached both competitive winter and summer swimming for 12 years in Fort McMurray, Lethbridge, and Fort Macleod. This year, I will also be coaching for AMAC here in town.
I've been involved in a variety of music groups over the years, playing piano, flute, bagpipes or singing. I currently help out with the music ministry at Holy Family, playing piano or singing most Sunday nights.
I am looking forward to a fantastic year!
